I haven't been on here for roughly an entire year.
Long story short:
I miscarried last summer of 2015, and we tried for over another year...with no luck.
So we've begun our IVF journey.
I actually start taking the hormones next week.
Very anxious and stressed out.
I will try to carry, and if for some reason I can't after a long trial of effort, my husband and I would like a surrogate.
I haven't been on this sight very much, but it appears to me that there are more people looking for surrogate, than those who actually are surrogate.
I haven't actively reached out to anyone yet, as it's not a hundred certain we'll be using one.
However, I will offer the following to a potential surrogate:
-all medical expenses paid
-travel, as well as room and board paid
-negotiable salary; we would possibly like to try for twins, which leads to additional payment.
I'm not very versed on what the actual cost of a surrogate is, but from my research it appears 25 g's and up...which is throwing me through a hoop, because I'm somewhat confused why the area in our profile states compensation up to only ten grand. Maybe I'm missing something...anyways, back to the list 😊
-we will cover legal counsel; both for us and you...you won't need to worry about any legal fees.
-finally, and I haven't really gone over this with my husband, but I also think it would be fair to offer an allowance for a new wardrobe when needed...maternity clothes can be expensive...and you wouldn't be buying them if it wasn't for us...so I see this as only fair.
Here is what we are looking for in a surrogate ideally:
-between the ages of 18-40
-agrees to not smoke, drink, or do any street drugs of any kind
-has had at least one successful pregnancy of their own
-agrees to have a mental and physical examination to ensure that you're healthy enough in mind and body to do this
-leads a relatively healthy lifestyle; in other words, doesn't live a sedentary life
-race, religion, sexual preference/identification, as well as economical status will not be judged upon

My OBGYN did schedule my twin birth as a scheduled C-section. That's the way she prefers multiples to be delivered. The other 2 pregnancies were delivered vaginally.
