Becoming an egg donor has become one of the most self-fulfilling things that I have ever done, I am very proud of being a egg donor, helping some one else's dream come true is the best feeling in the world.Two years ago if some one told me I would be doing this I would not have even known what egg donation was.A very close friend of mine had cancer she had an operation to remove the cancer, but it spread, she had fallopian tube scarring and was left with only one ovary, she tried to conceive for a couple of years without any succes, she then asked me to have coffee with her one week, I was not prepaired for what she was about to ask me back then, we started talking and she then told me there was a way she could have the baby she so longs for, she then told me about egg donation, I had no idea that this was even possible, and had never heard about it before, after she explained it to me, she asked if I would be her egg donor I was still taking in all of the information when she asked me, I needed a few days to think about it.We live opposite each other and look a lot a like, after I thought about this for a long time, I decided not to become her egg donor, as it would be a strange situation living opposite each other in the same town, seeing her with the baby each day, she has since gone through ivf without succes twice.Her husband and her decided on adopting a baby.
I then decided I would love to help other women and men such as my friend, I then went online and I was shocked to see how many beautifull, wonderfull couples/individuals had problems conceiving, I then joined an agency and was matched with my first couple, the baby has since been born from my first donation, and I received a beautifull letter from the Mommy and Daddy, which made my heart over flow with joy.Since i've donated four times after that, and it still is one of the best feelings ever being able to do this for some one.We can only thank God that HE made this possible through giving us wonderfull doctor's and donors to ful fill some one's dream of becoming a parent.I have since donated for all kinds of couples, and believe that every one deserves to be happy, and if happiness means a new life, so be it!
