The Intended Parent — WHO are these Intended Mothers and Fathers?
Intended Parents can be gym teachers, attorneys, same-sex couples, business partners, directors, athletes, actors, or perhaps the sister or brother sitting beside you hoping to have a family of their own. Intended Parents outline the words amazing, nurturing, patient, distraught, fearful, and struggling.
They are individuals who are driven by faith, love, and hope. Their passionate search for a Surrogate and the hardships of how to afford it ultimately consumes their lives. Intended parents will do anything to build a family — ultimately defining the word hero.
What is it like to be in THEIR shoes?
The Voice of an Intended Parent: That first text message or phone call from the Surrogate Mother gives me HOPE. Knowing how the Surrogate Mother feels physically throughout the pregnancy gives me ENCOURAGEMENT. Overwhelmed with SADNESS or JEALOUSY may be in the rear view mirror as the Surrogate Mother feels my baby kick for the first time. Tears may fall as I REALIZE my baby has entered the world.
A beautiful portrayal of HUMANITY has come to an end. Surrogacy encourages me to face my FEARS, let go of the intricate details emerged in my Surrogacy journey and STRIVE to GROW in courage and self-love that will ultimately be passed on to my child.
For anyone who has stressed upon or struggled with infertility or certain medical conditions, undergone a hysterectomy; or an adoring same-sex couple, or even Intended Parents who previously assumed parenthood through adoption can forever value a Surrogacy arrangement. Surrogacy can open up a major door of opportunity.
