A new member in our surrogacy family .
Mullerian agenesis is a congenital malformation of genital tract which occurs in 1 out of every *** to *** females. This condition is characterized by congenital absence of the vagina, uterus, or both.
The couple had lost all hope for a baby as she did not have uterus by birth.
The choice of flying thousands of miles to a small town in south India to have their own baby was a distant dream for them , until they spoke to Dr.Mani on skype .
They visited India last year to have the medical procedure done. Her ovaries were normal , hence we were able to do egg collection. When the parents were flying back with dreams of holding their baby ,the resultant embryo from ICSI was being transferred to the surrogate mother. The couple were far off when the baby was implanting safely inside the surrogate mother. The baby was monitored regularly for growth and surrogate mother was taken care at GIFT IVF center .
The staff were monitoring the heart beat every day, doctors scanned the baby weekly in the beginning and later monthly to make sure the little precious one was doing well .The eager parents were thrilled to see their baby in the small video clips of scan sent by Dr.Anita.The baby was sometimes drinking , sometimes waving it’s tiny hands.
The surrogate mother had a wonderful stay with good food , rest and proper medical care and attention.
The efforts and waiting was rewarded when the beautiful baby came out crying nonstop on a cool winter morning , straight to the parents hands , who were also shedding tears of happiness.
