Our surrogacy journey started a few years back when my husband and I were babysitting our nephews. We really enjoyed their company since they were babies and always wondered if that could be something attainable for us. Throughout the years we would see the boys grow up and would still babysit and all, by that point we knew we were wanting to grow our family. We then started looking into surrogacy and the works. My husband would start researching and noticed that is was very expensive. Naturally that was a bit daunting to imagining the cost of a family with our current expenses.
We kept doing research though out the years and met other Intended parents. They weren't in a stable financial situation and gay surrogacy was out of the question at the moment for them. Some couples we've met were already in mid stages of their journey and made us wonder that with time and patience it can be done.
We are currently in a much better position to take on our journey head on to grow our family, and are now in search of our perfect surrogate. We have gotten in contact with a surrogate or two in the past but something always came up.We took it as a sign, and maybe it wasn't our time just yet. Being the crazingly optimistic couple we are, we are now actively searching for a surrogate.
