Hello,
My boyfriend and I want to have a child through surrogacy in which we would donate our own sperm and egg for the process. However, we are new to this and very confused. I wanted to know if there was anyone else from Canada who has already done this before who could possibly guide us and give us some pointers or at least point us in the right direction.
We are very adamant about surrogacy, but we understand that there are high costs and are taking our time accordingly. We have begun saving and we're also taking our time because we want to have the right environment for an infant, but I digress.
We are planning for the future, but want to have as much information as possible such as what companies are there in Canada, preferably around Quebec? Are there any payment plans for surrogacy? Is the whole procedure with legal fees, insemination, finding the surrogate mother, etc. done at an agency or is it a multi-step process that takes place over the course of some time?
I apologize for all the questions, I am trying my best to do my research as well, but I figured perhaps finding a community would be a less overwhelming experience.
