The concept of surrogacy can be controversial, as I have discovered since first announcing our wishes to conceive this way, to our family and friends. Granted, no-one has actually come out and said anything negative about our desires to have a family this way, but people's expressions and body language can certainly convey their reservations/opinions.
That said, I would prefer the conception of our much longed for child be done the traditional way, which would open up even more of a controversy.
As a mother of three children, who aren't really children anymore; my oldest having had a 2 yr old baby already, and a 2nd one on the way, and couple friends having babies of their own in their later years, my maternal instinct has kicked into overdrive again.
Being in the ultimate relationship with my 2nd husband, a much waited for love, gives me the confident knowledge that we will have a great family of our own, with my biological kids included in the family.
My reasoning for this blog is to find out if there are any other people (surrogate mothers or intended parents) who have the same thinking of me, as to conceiving naturally, (without IVF), and if so, I would love to hear ONLY positive feedback from the community.
