Six types of surrogacy in India
Couples and individual who do not conceive their child because of the problem of infertility so the only
option that left is the surrogacy.This process includes a surrogate mother who gets herself pregnant by
an artificial insemination of sperm.By the birth surrogate mother doesn’t have any kind of right on the
child.The intend parent has their own will to raise the child.Even the surrogacy is the best options for
those women who are failing in the entire fertility test like IVF, ICSI, IUI and more.Surrogacy is a
yearlong emotional parenthood journey.There are different kinds of surrogacy in India:
Traditional Surrogacy:
The meaning of traditional surrogacy is when the sperm of the intended father transfer via IUI and IVF
with using artificial insemination to a surrogate mother.In this process, the child linked to the intended
father and the surrogate mother.
Traditional surrogacy and Donor Sperm:
When the surrogate mother uses artificial insemination, like- IUI and IVF but on the place of intend
father she uses donor sperm of another.In this process the child directly linked to the donor sperm and
surrogate mother.
Gestational Surrogacy:
Because of some medical issues when intent mother is not able to carry a baby to term her egg so the
sperm of intent father used to create a Donor embryo through IVF and that embryo takes place into the
surrogate mother.In the process the child indirectly related to the intended parents.
Gestational surrogacy and egg Donation:
Because of some reasons when intend mother is not able to produce her eggs so the surrogate mother
contain an embryo from an egg donor and this embryo fertilized in the intend father’s sperm.With this
procedure the child biologically linked to the intended parent, there is no relation with a surrogate
mother.
Gestational surrogacy and Donor sperm:
When the intended father is unable to produce eggs so in that case the surrogate mother contain
embryo that is established by the intended mother, if she is also not able to getting pregnant.After this
process the child directly linked to the intended mother without any hand of surrogate mother.
Gestational surrogacy and Donor embryo:
When both intended parents are not able to conceive a child so the surrogate mother carry a donate
embryo with this process the child is not belong to any of the intended parents.
