Yesterday Angie, and Leia met up in Toronto for an afternoon that they were both very excited about, but both for different reasons, very nervous about. They were going to take part in *** .They are an amazing organization that are on a Worldwide tour “dedicated to embracing the beauty inherent in the changes ”brought to our bodies by motherhood, childbirth and breastfeeding.
They had been mentally preparing for the photo shoot for a few days, and what “bearing it all” would mean. What they couldn’t prepare for was the video they were a part of.They didn’t know what questions they’d be asked, until that moment. The first few were easy, name, where you live, number of kids…..
Then the tough part- Being asked what you want to share about your birth experiences, and why you took part in this project was really tough!! It hit them like a ton of bricks, literally. They felt like they had been throat punched, the wind taken out of them. Why? Well for the next few minutes, they stumbled through their birth philosophy, experiences as a Birth Mom, a Mom Mom, and a Surrogate Mom, they shared what a blessing all of those “titles” were, and how they regret nothing from my births, and used each one as a learning experience for the next.
They said it was a funny feeling at the end of the interview, as they wern’t sure if their answers were “right”.It was in that moment that they both realized, it wasn’t about them being right, rather about sharing them. Not sharing them for others to learn about their greatness, but for each one of them to learn about their greatness.
As I write this, I feel myself rambling as I did, during my interview, however want everyone to know that working with *** was an amazing experience, in which I learned so very much about myself as a woman, and Mom.
I’m not sure what Angie’s experience was, as I took her little one Cyrus for a walk while she did her interview.I wanted to allow her the space to talk, without eyes on her, as she did for me.
I hope that you visit this site, and if you are so inclined, book a session with them.It was this video that sold me on these amazing women!!!
