My Beginning

Where do I start? I am beginning this journey to become a gestational surrogate, it is a lot...of information, questions to answer, records to find, etc. But all this time will turn into something so beautiful... I never thought about surrogacy as an option for me simply because it had never crossed my mind. I live in a small town where the word "surrogate" is never said or heard..unless you like those life time movies that scare the baAgeEbers out of you! I was feeling so weird about not wanting any more children for myself but feeling unfulfilled that my body would no longer produce tiny little humans to be loved on this Earth. Describing this feeling to my mother-in-law I was also scrolling through social media when a surrogacy ad popped up! Was this a sign, was the Lord telling me "hey...don't get those tubes yanked out just yet...you have a destiny to fulfill.."? I don't take my faith lightly so I knew just by the feeling, the timing that this was surly a sign from above. So I researched, my fiancé and I stayed up at night watching YouTube videos, I was fascinated and every moment I spent learning about surrogacy only dove me deeper into the desire to help someone else create the family that I already had...what a GIFT!!! For our greatest gift given to this Earth was that of baby Jesus who was carried by the ultimate surrogate herself...Mary. So here I am... waiting for my path to be walked.
