We embarked on this journey 5 years ago. Through those 5 years, we have experienced a lot of frustration, confusion, pain and heartaches.
EXACTLY 3 years ago today we were waiting for approval from insurance for fertility treatments. We went through about a year of treatment with no success. I got to the point where I was so physically and mentally tired of the disappointment that could no longer bear to take the journey. My husband never said a word, he simply just told me everything was gong to be ok.; but I know it took an emotional toll on him as well because this has caused problems in our marriage. Luckily, the time has given us the ability to learn love and patience. I have focused more on finishing my degree in psychology and have completed my obligation to the military after 6 long years. I have gotten my health back on track and am feeling very good about it too!
but I can't help to think what life would be like if we had we conceived a few year ago... No matter how far back I try to push it in my mind, it always circles itself back around, and all I can o is sit there and ponder. I shed a tear here ad there but there is nothing I can do about my physical inability to bear children. I have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) Many women have overcome this obstacle and have had beautiful children, but for some reason, even after a 30lbs weight loss and a healthier lifestyle... I can't. I AM READY NOW.
The only thing I can thnk of now is surrogacy. We want someone ho truly wants to help us out. Not for the sake of the compensation, but for the sake of helping a couple in need. I don't even know the first step to take, and we def don't have thousands and thousands of dollars to fork up upfront either. We are simply hoping for a miracle.
