To be honest, I have two loving and outstanding boys. My husband and I have always wanted a large family, but when I was 21 I had to have my uterus removed. My youngest was born at 26 weeks and spent 3 1/2 months in an ICU and at 14 months old had to receive reconstructive skull surgery. Both pregnancy ended prematurely due to a torn placenta. We saw my doctor regarding the risk if we had a third pregnancy (in our future). I was told I would be able to get pregnant but it would require bed rest during the whole pregnancy (which is not fair to the two children I have) and I still had a 70% chance of delivering before 26 weeks. With the thought of loosing a child or putting a child through the pain our youngest felt, we opted for uterus removal. I still have my eggs. This was years ago and we are now ready to try a gestational surrogate!
Giving us the gift of life is something that can not be measured. As a mother of 2 I know the pains of pregnancy and to find someone with a good heart willing to do this would be the greatest person of all time. My promise to you is to respect you and your wishes throughout the pregnancy. To support you on your journey as you support us on our journey as well.
