Simply put... We don't have all the proper equipment to create a child on our own.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

My husband and I are in search of the right surrogate to carry our unborn child.To start off, we are a gay couple, if that's an issue for you, we completely understand. A little about us... We are newly, and legally, married.We are a military couple, so the repeal of both DOMA and Don't Ask Don't Tell was a major breakthrough in our relationship.We are working on our fourth year as a happy couple.We currently reside in Washington, DC. I am originally from Florida.After high school, I entered the US Navy.The Navy took me to Norfolk, VA, where I stayed for the majority of my 5 years on active duty.After getting out of the Navy, I moved to Birmingham, AL, which is where my sister lives.My sister was a very important part of helping me adjust to life in the civilian world.In *** I moved to Washington, DC and applied for a job as a police officer.In early *** I was hired with the Washington, DC Metropolitan Police Department.I am currently still employed as a police officer with the same department, and plan on staying here, for at least the next 20 years, as I plan to retire from the department. My Husband Ivan, is originally from the US Virgin Islands.Ivan joined the US Navy a few years out of high school, and is now in his 8th year of service.Ivan is a paralegal in the Navy.Ivan is currently near completion of his masters degree...his next move is law school, can't wait to be the husband of a Navy Jag, lol.
