Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

Hi there, I'm Veronica, thanks for reading. I've been through fertility treatments for 4 years, the most recent was donor egg IVF in the Czech Republic. For some reason i reacted very badly to the medication this time and had to stop before i was able to go through the implantation process. I now have three high quality embryos frozen, but i have been told that i can't take IVF drugs in the future, which coupled with having advanced endometriosis and colitis significantly reduces my chances of successful embryo implantation. For this reason i have decided that surrogacy is now the best option for me.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

I'm sociable, outgoing, hard working and positive. I have a great partner of 5 years and we live in London with our two cats, Bill and Ginger who i adopted whilst working in Abu Dhabi. I love animals and hope to switch careers in that direction at some point in the future. I also love singing as part of a local choir, listening to and making my own electronic music, reading and running.

Use this space to communicate a letter to potential Surrogates/Donors:

In spite of my infertility, Paul and I live a happy life, but there's a hole that can't be filled by anything else other than a family and the hole will always be there as long as we remain childless. We've tried IVF, been through miscarriage, been through the donor egg process only to be disappointed once again. It's tough being surrounded by people who are becoming parents or who already have a family. I see the excited anticipation of pregnant friends, followed by the indescribable love they feel for their babies and vice-versa. They relish their new found sense of purpose, the fulfilment that it brings, and seeing this makes me want to be a Mum all the more, and I feel as though surrogacy is our last chance. We have embryos waiting to be implanted, but i can't grow them inside me, my body won't let me, so i need an incredible, kind and selfless women to help me achieve my dream. I'm in awe of anyone who consider putting their body and mind through pregnancy and childbirth for a stranger, it's the most life-changing, generous thing you can do for another human being, right up there with organ donation. I can only hope now that we find a surrogate match who is willing to give Paul and I the most precious gift they could possibly give. We would be eternally grateful for the opportunity to live the rest of our lives as a family. Thanks for reading, Veronica
