Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

We have been unsuccessful in having a child on our own. We have conceived a number of times naturally and via fertility treatments, but they end in chemical pregnancies and early miscarriages. We hope that through the use of a surrogate, we are able to have a child of our own.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

My husband, Derek, and I are an active, outdoorsy couple with an energetic Siberian Husky. I am an Environmental professional, and Derek is a Firefighter with the City of Calgary. Apart from our full time jobs, we spend a lot of time on our bikes (we both race semi-competitively), hiking, camping, skiing, and spending time with our families.

Use this space to communicate a letter to potential Surrogates/Donors:

We are hoping to find an experienced, compassionate surrogate who can help us have a family after 8+ years of trying. We will be cycling with the Victoria (B.C.) Fertility Clinic and performing PGD on all embryos to ensure they are genetically normal (and reduce risk to our surrogate). We hope to find someone close to us or on the lower mainland of B.C.
