We need a Gestational Surrogate to carry our child as my wife, Sarah, had Uterine cancer and a complete hysterectomy a couple of years ago. That is behind us and she is cancer free.

Location: Barrie, Ontario Our Story... Hello! We are Mark and Sarah, and thank you for reading our story! We met online in *** got engaged at Walt Disney World, and got married in *** most couples, we assumed our next step would be to start a family.We talked about our future children- baby names, things we would like to teach them and places we would like to take them.The years went by, and it seemed like everyone was having babies but us, so I went to see a doctor about my fertility.What we found out next shocked us both- I had Uterine Cancer! The treatment for that was a complete hysterectomy at the age of 38 and medically induced menopause.We were devastated! I would never be able to carry a child.One ray of hope was the fact that we had just enough time to retrieve and fertilize eggs.Luckily, we were able to create 7 embryos.That was two years ago.Today I am Cancer-free and we are ready to begin the next phase of our lives: starting a family. To give you some more details about us… Mark is from the Niagara Region but moved to Ottawa when he went to Carleton University.He loved it so much there that he stayed for another 10 years.I am from Brampton, and went to York University.Later, I attended Canisius College in Buffalo, NY for Teacher’s College.We met when Mark moved to Toronto for work.Since then, we’ve lived in Markham, and now we are in Barrie.Mark is especially lucky because his position at IBM allows him to work from home! Mark is a Mason at a Lodge in Markham, where he is very involved.In our spare time, we love to travel and have been on many cruises.One destination we thoroughly enjoy is Walt Disney World and have gone there many times both alone, and with my family including our nieces and nephew.We have had so much fun with them and can’t wait to experience the magic with our own children! Mark is the cook in our house, while I enjoy baking.We love movies, especially at the drive-in, and are really big Star Wars fans.We also enjoy entertaining with friends and family, which sometimes includes playing trivia or board games.Mark and I are avid competitors! At home, we have two English Springer Spaniels: Ruger and Snickers.They are the most loving dogs we could have imagined and are at our sides constantly. We call them our “fur children”, but they are no substitute for the real thing! We are looking forward to finding someone to connect with, and would like to participate in every future doctor/ ultrasound visit.We understand that this is a huge sacrifice for you and your family, and hope that the fact that we are locally in Ontario will provide assurance in case you need our help throughout this journey.We know it takes a special person with a big heart to be a gestational carrier and are so thankful for you!
