Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

After deciding it was finally time to have children last year and becoming pregnant, I had a miscarriage. I needed surgery to complete the miscarriage and that caused a condition in my uterus called Asherman's Syndrome. Another surgery attempt to fix the problem in July was unsuccessful and I learned that I will never be able to carry a pregnancy. My husband and I have been quite sad about our unlucky circumstances. But we have hope that we will be able to have biological children using a surrogate. We will be able to use our own eggs and sperm and are looking for a gestational surrogate.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

My husband and I have been together for 8 years. We met while living abroad in South Korea, where we worked as English teachers. Now we live in Toronto. I'm into cooking, reading, plants and yoga. My husband loves European soccer and movies. We both love to travel ... especially to the beach! I am originally from Florida and am a Canadian permanent resident now. My husband is a Canadian citizen, and is originally from Romania. We have a large group of friends who are like an extended family. We live in a house in a quiet neighborhood with our kitty.

My husband and I are very committed to each other and have had 8 years to build a strong foundation on which to start a family. We both definitely would love to be parents and are hopeful that we will be able to have biological children. We would even love twins! All of our friends already have children and we have a niece and nephew that we adore. My husband is very hands on and I think we have a lot to offer. I am asking for a huge favor ... I am asking another woman to carry a pregnancy and endure a labor. I only hope that I can help others as much as I am being helped and that somehow I can repay the kindness that I am asking for.
