Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

My husband is 43, and I am 35. Unfortunately due to complicated autoimmune diseases, I am unable to safely carry a child. Additionally, the medications I have to take to keep my diseases under control prevent the possibility of carrying a child.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

I'm happily married to a wonderful man that lights up my life. We both have advanced degrees. I have a business degree from the University of Arkansas and a law degree from SMU. My husband has a literature degree from a small college in California and a masters degree in film from USC. We love movies, sports, music, and spending time with our loved ones. My husband works from home and, if we were blessed enough to have a child, I would be a stay at home mom. Unfortunately, due to health issues, I have been unable to work since *** My husband has been a constant source of support. Currently, our 15 year old lab/great dane mix is our only child! Last year we bought a house in a beautiful, family-friendly neighborhood in Dallas in which the local elementary school (that is one of the best in the city) is about a block away and the junior high is even closer. We are proud aunts and uncles, and are blessed to have our parents near us. My faith is guiding me in the process.

Use this space to communicate a letter to potential Surrogates/Donors:

Dear potential surrogate, My husband and I cannot wait to provide a loving, stable home for a child. We know that this will be an emotional journey and are overwhelmed at the beautiful sacrifice that surrogates make in order to provide a miracle to couples that are unable to have children on their own. My husband is the most loving, amazing man and would make an outstanding father. I kept holding out hope that my health would one day improve, but developments with my autoimmune diseases in the last couple of years have prevented me from being able to carry a child. We are looking for a stable, loving gestational surrogate to carry our child. We have found a reproductive specialist and are beginning the egg retrieval process. Because we want to be involved in the surrogacy process and feel a connection to our surrogate, we would prefer, if possible, to find a surrogate close to Dallas. If you are interested in helping us complete our family, please contact me.
