Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

As a gay male couple, we a slightly more limited in our options to become parents.Our first child came into our lives through open adoption.While we are open to that process again, we feel that surrogacy and egg donation further expand our opportunity to add to our family.In addition, we are a diverse multi-cultural family. Rick is caucasian, Kevin is half-Asian, and Riley (our son) if half African American and Puerto Rican. We love the diversity in our family and are seeking to continue down that path. We are seeking to match with an African American egg donor that will add strength to the cultural and family bond between Riley and next bundle of joy!

How would you best describe yourself(s):

When people ask us what drew us to each other, Kevin will say that it was Rick’s laughter.Rick will tell you that it was Kevin’s quiet manner that made him want to know more.It’s often said that opposites attract and for us, it’s true.Our personalities are a perfect balance of our strengths and weaknesses.We are a family that laughs and use humor where we can, even the toughest situations. We believe that family is the one you create, not necessarily the one you were born into.From that we have a huge family that we feel blessed. Rick knows know strangers.While Kevin is a little more shy at first, he is a life long friend, supporter, and defender once you get to know him. We welcomed our son into our lives in February *** We thought we knew love. Boy were we wrong. We are surprised on a daily basis just how much deeper your love can grow as we watch this little boy grow. He is the love of our lives and he has only just confirmed that we can't just experience this joy just once.
