When we got married, we each had 2 children from previous relationships. My husband adopted my boys and we have full custody of his son and daughter. Shortly after the birth of our son that we had together, I had to undergo a partial hysterectomy. We were not ready to stop having children and had intended on having at least one more.We are hoping to fulfill that dream through surrogacy.
We are very family oriented and enjoy spending our time doing various activities with our children. We love taking them to their various sports practices, helping them with their homework, taking them to visit our very large extended family, enjoying days at the park, having family movie nights and, of course, bed time stories. All 4 of our children who are currently in school are well above grade level in their studies and have received straight A's on their report cards as well as having received numerous awards from their schools .We feel that it is very important to stay involved in all aspects of their lives. My husband is the assistant coach for our boys' baseball/t-ball teams. I am an assistant coach for my daughter's (technically my step-daughter, but I consider her mine) softball team. I also stay involved in the PTA/PTO at their schools and attend girl scout meetings and events with my daughter's troop. My husband and daughter even attended their very first daddy-daughter dance this year while I had a mother-son date night with our 4 boys.
Dear P.S., We want you to know how truly grateful we are for your unselfish willingness to help us complete our family. I know that many may see that we already have 5 children and feel our desire for more is in some way selfish or unwise. But, for us, our children are our world and we were not yet ready to stop the expansion of that world when we were forced to. We long for another child (or multiples) and feel that if we do not at least take the chance and try, it is something we will regret for the rest of our lives. Our youngest son desperately wants a younger sibling and our daughter prays for a little sister as she is surrounded by brothers. So, thank you for your willingness to not only help us but to also help our children, achieve our dream.
