Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

I met my husband late in my life...I was 34 years old and he was 26!!! Being a strong, independent (and stubborn) woman born and raised in Boston, I had never been married, and never thought I would meet a guy that could, quite honestly, deal with me! LOL We actually met online in *** when it wasn't so scary, and people, for the most part, were online looking for a real relationship...not a one night stand! LOL! When we met, we both we on the fence whether we wanted children or not. As our relationship grew stronger, we started to talk about having children. We married in *** (I was 38 years old) and decided we wanted to actively try to have children when I was 39. I know this is kinda 'old' to have children, but we thought we were being responsible about it. Making sure we were secure in our jobs, home, and that we were ready to have children. After a year of it not working, we tried 3 rounds of artificial insemination. The doctor had discovered I had a larger fibroid, and a blocked tube, but said that I should still be able to get pregnant.With my age, it was protocol that only 3 rounds of AI would be done...I felt like I was kicked to the curb. It was very disheartening. Some time later, we looked into adoption and found how difficult and expensive that process really is! More disheartening news. Then, after 10 years of extremely painful monthly menstrual cycles, I decided to have surgery to remove the fibroid. During the surgery, it was discovered that I also had endometriosis. (For some reason that was not uncovered when I was going through AI) A year later, I discovered I had uterine cancer, and that was was the end all be all...no more chances of having children, as I had to have a hysterectomy. I know that millions of people have it one hundred times worse off than I do, but that whole process was so disheartening. Today, I am 46, and my husband is 39. We truly feel like we are missing something in our life. Julius' sperm is still good, and we want to see if we can find a surrogate mother that will donate her eggs and carry our baby. If the surrogate does not want to donate their eggs (totally understandable!!!) but would be willing to carry our baby, we could then work to find an egg donor.

My husband Julius, and I, are very compassionate people.We are always looking to help others, and quite often put everyone else ahead of ourselves...therefore every Saturday night is date night at a different restaurant!:-) I am a graphic designer and online marketer and work in Tampa.Being a huge dog lover (we have two German Shepherd fur kids), I often volunteer my services to animal rescues. Julius is a busy manager at an equipment rental company in Bradenton.We live in a community (Carillon Park, St.Pete) with beautiful walking and biking trails, so we enjoy taking advantage of that. We both love to go to the gym (even though we don't get there as often as we should!) and we try to make healthy eating choices, but don't let it rule our life...because you only live once, so it should be enjoyed!
