Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

We want a child however my wife is unable to bear children. I myself am a type 1 diabetic and we didn't want to risk our child getting diabetes so we chose a donor for IVF...however after several tries and a lot of money we found that it would seem my wife is unable to bear children and probably shouldn't at her age anyway.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

My wife and I are both educated working professionals with a good upbringing. Both of us were raised to be independent and we are very analytical thinkers. We enjoy the outdoors, movies and good food. We also enjoy traveling and studying. On the weekends you could typically find us at the library or doing work around the house.

Use this space to communicate a letter to potential Surrogates/Donors:

To our potential Surrogate, All we think about is having and caring for children of our very own. The fact that we cannot have our own has been a sad reality and everyday we try to stay positive and keep some hope that it will happen. We are currently looking into adoption however that is a slow process and most of the children in foster care are older and we feel we may not be able to right some of the wrongs those children have faced. Other children in foster care have emotional trauma from their past that we dont feel we are ready for. We have not ruled out adoption, however we discovered the process of having a Surrogate and feel that would be the best option for us. We feel we would make great parents and provide unconditional love to our child. We cannot express in words how much gratitude we have for our potential Surrogate. The selfless act of a stranger who would carry a child to term to fulfill the dream of a couple they dont even know is the ultimate act of humanity.
