Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:
Not being able to bear children at this point in my life, I can not provide a child to my mate. We both desire to start a family together, and we've been together now over eight years. My mate does not have any children of his own (His only daughter was killed in a motor vehicle accident). I have three grown independent adult children. We desire to have a family together however I'm not able to have any further children at this time in my life. We've talked about surrogacy for years and has been a consideration but felt it was beyond our reach. We googled out of curiosity and discovered this site. The approach to getting people together on this website was appealing because it seems like we can do this ourselves and not be cost prohibitive. We are new to this site and realizing we can do this.
How would you best describe yourself(s):
As a woman desiring to give my mate a child, this would be the best to describe my situation. We both desire to start a family together, and we've been together now over eight years. We are adventuresome, positive people and both have so much to give to a child. We are a loving and mature couple. Being retired now, we are able to live in Central America for the winters and upstate NY in the summers. We are outdoors people, love nature and being around family when we are with them.

The most special gift of giving a child to a couple who can't conceive would be the most precious gift for us. . Being retired now, we have the time to raise a child and share all the world with. We've dreamed of having a family, however we felt like it was beyond our reach to do until we looked into it more on Google and discovered this website. We want to share our love with each other with a child conceived by my mate. We'd like to get to know the mother and be available during the pregnancy and build a bond. We value quality pre-natal care and good nutrition through out pregnancy. Having a good relationship and being involved during pregnancy would be expected. After reading different terminology, it seems a traditional surrogacy would be desireable. We can be flexible with terms and would want to talk about how to proceed further. We are honest in our communications and understanding. We would hope for the same in return. It is exciting to think we may meet the right person to provide such a gift to us. Let us hope.
