I've always wanted to become a parent. As a gay man, there is no reason to wait until I find a partner before having a child. I am one of six children, and I have ten nieces and nephews, so family is important to me. I will raise my child in my community of family and friends.
How would you best describe yourself(s):
I'm a lawyer working in this field, representing parents, surrogates, and donors. I am looking for a match for myself, because I am ready to start a family. (But if we are not a match, I might be able to help you match with my clients.) My background before becoming a lawyer is as an artist and a writer. I am originally from Ireland. I've lived in London, Paris, New York, and now L.A. for the past 9yrs. I live with my best friend and our 13yr old dog, and life is good. I work at home, sometimes in the garden. I like cooking, reading, movies, and going to see art. I am an optimist.

Dear Surrogate, Thank you for considering helping me on my journey to parenthood. I am very excited to take this next big step towards becoming a father, and I am very grateful for your help. I already have frozen embryos and I am hoping we can get started soon. Because I work as an attorney working with parents and surrogates, I am familiar with the process for us both, and I will behave ethically and professionally, and pay you the going rate, and I hope we will become friends. My doctor tells me that he would prefer if you are under 40yrs, with a BMI of less than 30, have already given birth, but haven't had more than 2 c-sections. I will need you to have access to your medical records, be willing to submit to background checks, medical screening, blood work, psychological screening, and enter a legal contract.
