Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

We want to start a family - the opportunity to teach, love and pour as much of our own good bits as we can into a little human being of our own, with the hopes that they will be happier, feel more loved and simply be more than we could ever have hoped to be ourselves.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

Fun, caring, honest, genuine, passionate, loving, young at heart (big kids really!) - happy people who just want others to be happy too :-)

My name is Clan. I’m 33, Gemini, 90kgs, 5ft 9 and born/raised in Auckland New Zealand. I have two older brothers, and one little sister. I have the most amazing mother I could ever ask for and she’s a constant inspiration for me. My grandfather was also Clan, as was my father (passed away when I was 7). I’m a big kid at heart and that heart is pretty big. I’m overly optimistic and I hate being misunderstood. I love being with and around people, but know when to take myself off to recharge the batteries. I have an incredible network of friends and family, who are so incredibly important to me and whom I love with all I have. Ben, 30, Leo…my partner in life and person I choose to put above all else. He’s an incredible guy with a massive heart. He’s a real bloke, loves his cars, but also loves his Lego! Ben doesn’t have a bad bone in his body and would do anything to make other people happy. He’ll go all out for the people he loves, but he’s the kindda guy that will also go and buy a sandwich for the person looking for food on the street. He has the most loving and accepting family and we’re all very close-knit, we spend a lot of time together. Ben can be a bit cynical at times, but it’s a good contrast to my optimism :-P He helps bring balance to our relationship. We want to be parents, I’m sorry, but it’s as simple as that. We don’t have a sad story behind this all. I've heard so many stories that people have fought through, heartache they must have experienced - my heart truly goes out to those people. Our story is a little happier, a little lighter, but it doesn't mean we are any less passionate about our dream coming true. For me this has been the one constant in my life, the one ultimate goal and purpose that’s driven me since I was 17yrs old. I don’t know exactly what has driven it, maybe it’s my father, losing him, the mistakes he made and wanting to do better for my child. Whatever ignited this spark, it’s there and burns brighter every day. This is Clan and Ben putting it all out to the universe, in hopes of finding someone to share this journey with. We know it's a big ask, I just hope that whoever that person ends up being, that somehow, they get something just as special out of the whole experience as I know we will.
