Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

We were both very fortunate to grow up with outstanding parents who showed us unconditional love, support, and taught us everything they knew. More than anything, we want to create a family with that same purpose and need your help. We want a happy and healthy baby who has John's spunk and Scott's good looks. Thank you for considering us!

How would you best describe yourself(s):

My husband (John) and I recently got married in April of last year. We've been together for over 5 years and have a strong desire to expand our family. We both grew up in the Midwest (Iowa/Illinois) and love how friendly and caring the people are. Life has taken us to Salt Lake City for new jobs and we love to explore the outdoors and the mountains as much as possible. We miss our families, but regularly stay in contact through weekly FaceTime chats and traveling home a few times a year. We own a very nice home in Salt Lake and have good jobs to support us. We would love to add children to make our family complete. We each wrote a quick summary of ourselves. About Scott: I am a very determined and focused person. I set high goals for myself and love to help others succeed, as well. I've been known to be a clean freak...ok, it's the truth. I have a love for animals, specifically cats. I always had a cat in the house growing up and would get very attached to them. They become a part of the family! We currently have two siamese cats (sisters) who we rescued from a farm. I love to stay active and healthy with daily work outs, long runs (I've completed 2 half marathons), and hiking. We find new recipes all the time and cook most of our meals. I had a great education that led to a Master's of Accountancy and then went on to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). I now work for a manufacturer in Utah as a Finance Manager. John and I are both 'numbers' people and are proud of it! In my free time, I enjoy reading fantasy novels, binge watching Netflix TV shows, and catching up with friends on FaceTime. My favorite book series is Harry Potter and I could quote any part of the movie - complete with a British accent. About John: I am an energetic person who loves life. I have always had a passion for trying new things, and I love to volunteer. While in college, I was part of Habitat for Humanity where I was able to participate in two hurricane relief trips to Texas and South Carolina. I also was active in Dance Marathon which raised funds for the University of Iowa’s Children’s Hospital. I went to college at a small liberal arts school in Illinois and then attended graduate school at the University of Iowa where I received my PhD in Biostatistics. I love math (but who doesn’t?). Currently, I am an assistant professor and a biostatistician in the University of Utah Department of Pediatrics. When not at work, I enjoy building things and have always had a desire to flip a house like on HGTV. Scott and I try to have an adventure outside at least once a week by either hiking or skiing. We both try to stay active and work out every day (sometimes on the weekend I slack) and we cannot wait to take our family on new adventures. We both love to garden and make salsa in the fall!
