Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

My wife, Frances and I are married almost 13 years. Frances is 10 years older than me. We married when I was 29 and Frances was 39. I always wanted a big family, but fell in love with Frances. I knew that we would never have a big family given Frances’ age when we married, but I thought that we would manage one or two children. Unfortunately it did not work for us. We had lots of miscarriages, then failed IVF attempts, followed by a lot of egg donation attempts that did not work. We have 2 eggs left which are frozen and I don’t want to think that we did not try everything. I have found not having children difficult. I think this is because I had such a great childhood and I am very close to my parents. We spend our days with young people through our work, and I think we would be great parents if we had the opportunity.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

I am a positive and happy person. I believe things will always work out for the best. I am very loyal and work hard to make sure everyone around me is looked after. Family means a great deal to me,

Use this space to communicate a letter to potential Surrogates/Donors:

If you are in a position to be a surrogate we would really like to meet you. You would find that we are genuine and caring people. We would look after you and journey with you through the experience. It is a big thing to want to be a surrogate and I know that often it will be for a mixture of financial reasons and to do something good for another couple. It could also be a worrying time for you, but we feel that if you could give us the opportunity to meet you, you would see the type of people we are and you would never be alone. You will no doubt have a lot of people writing to you, but take a chance on us, and make contact.
