Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

We have tried several options, but as a gay couple living in Arizona, surrogacy may be the best option for us since finding adoption agencies that work with gay couples is actually more difficult then it seems. Our dream is to raise children, and raising a child from infancy we feel is a critical part of parenting and a child's development. It is very difficult to find that option from adoption agencies.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

Chris grew up in southern California. He is now 44 years old.He is loving, very patient, involved, responsible, down to earth, sensible, professional, accountable, very committed to his career, loves his work as a physical therapist.Chris is the oldest of 3 siblings, his sister was adopted at 4 months old, he helped in taking care of her for the first few years of her life before moving from California to Arizona.Chris chose to return to college at 25 after working many years as an auto mechanic.Starting from the bottom, he worked hard in school while holding down various jobs, and received his doctorate degree in *** then he enjoyed traveling, visiting family and friends in CA, FL, MI and NC.Since becoming settled in Phoenix Arizona, Chris's focus has been on research legal avenues for adopting, surrogacy, and raising children as a gay married couple.Whereas Ernesto is more spiritual and has a strong faith like attitude towards this quest, and believes that god will allow a child to come into their life when the time is right. Ernesto is from Sinaloa Mexico and is 38 years old.He is very gentle, extremely courteous and generous, thoughtful, sensitive to others and emotional at times when it comes to family.Ernesto is extremely hard working, passionate about life, children, and parenting.Ernesto is the oldest of 7.Growing up in Mexico he took care of goats, chickens, cows, as well as helping his mom out with his younger siblings.Changing diapers when he was barely a teenager.Growing up in a small town, in a small home, he slept in the same room with all his other siblings. Ernesto understands the importance of togetherness and family bonds. For some uncanny reason most pets and animals love him.Ernesto is extremely close to his family. His heart is always with his parents, his brothers and sisters, and his nieces and nephews.Half of which live in Mexico and the other half here in Arizona. He started working in agriculture fields, making very little money, and then eventually working in kitchens.Ernesto is now a very well respected cook at a high end restaurant and catering kitchen. His pride in work is on creating artistic foods and work camaraderie. He has long and close ties with many people he works with.He has worked at the same golf resort for 13 years.Ernesto has a calm and confident energy that isn't shaken by complex problems or situations. He has very little stress in his life, very easy going, and gets along with most everybody. We both believe that good things come to people who work hard.We are extremely happy with our lives, our home, our jobs, and we both feel blessed at all we have, especially our good health, the amazing support of all our family members, and joy we both share of being married, but for us its just not complete without having children in our lives.Raising children has been a dream we've both had since we were teenagers. We both believe that we deserve all the happiness and love in the world, and that we deserve everything that life has to offer. We are both confident and steady in our efforts to make our dreams come true.

Use this space to communicate a letter to potential Surrogates/Donors:

Update, since our previous posting, we have been blessed with our first son, we adopted him at birth, he is now 6 months old.It is far more amazing then we ever thought.Ernesto is a stay at home father and is absolutely in love, he is a great father. My work is flexible to be at home early and I love just spending time with our son.I sing to him all the time and my favorite part of the day is when he falls asleep on my chest in the rocker. We visit our nephews often, who live less then 2 miles from us.There is much love in our home, from our family and friends. So we are even more determined to build our family, knowing that 2 or 3 children would be perfect for us. (9 months ago) Hello, Surrogacy is the most amazing thing that anyone could offer us.We both consider this opportunity as an answer to our prayers of becoming parents and our dreams of becoming a complete family. There is nothing more important to us.We are both the eldest sons of our families, we both come from large families, and we have very supportive parents. Both of our families are now filled with nieces and nephews, 22 in all, many still under the age of 5.We have been involved in many of their lives; from prenatal appointments, to day of delivery, first steps, first words, birthdays, and first days of school. We love being there and being part of it, as best as we can as uncles. At times our home feels like a day care center, when we are watching two and three kids at once, we love to have them.We also know of the challenges of parenting as well, the work involved, albeit from only our perspectives as uncles, we see what our brothers and sisters are going through. One of our nephews has had medical issues since birth, we have been at the hospital every time he has a procedure, fully involved in every aspect of care.We know that raising a child is an enormous responsibility, but we are both so ready to meet the love of our life.We are both wholeheartedly up for the challenge of creating a family and we both know that no matter what, it is going to happen for us one day soon. We know you have a lot to choose from but I believe that few couples are as committed as us.We have been preparing for this for years. We have been together for 8 years and married for 5.We had close to *** family and friends at our wedding. We have plenty of photos to share.Ernesto has worked for the same golf club for 13 years but will stop working to care for the baby for 2 years.Chris has been a physical therapists for 12 years and is currently a rehab manager for a home health company.Chris will only work from 8-12 M-F after becoming a father. We also have plenty of family that live close to us.Our child will have 6 cousins that would likely be under the age of 5, and a total of 15 cousins that live in the phoenix area.I would like to share a photo that I took a few years ago of one of the nephews birthday parties, although I have too many of these type of photos. This particular photo shows all the nieces and nephews surrounding a huge cake, they cant all fit, the parents and grand parents surrounding the kids. They barely all fit in the room.It is a special photo for me, watching my nephew try to blow out the candle and everyone cheering and celebrating. It was then when I took this photograph, that I knew what was important in life, at that moment I understood completely that nothing else was more important than family.I cried then, and I still cry when I look at this photo. My life has changed since then.Since close to 3 years ago, we have been on this mission of creating a family. We have several family members that are within 5 miles of us and two sets of very loving grand parents. Not to mention the family in other parts of the country and Mexico.Because of this we feel we have so much to offer, so much love in our home, so much time and support from our families.Either one of us can be paternal father (Chris is 44 and Ernesto is 38) and we both have family members that are agreeable to providing donor eggs (from each side of the family, both are in their late 20's).We know that our children will be blessed, loved, and surrounded by good people. Thank you, sincerely, from the bottom of our hearts, for considering us as possible candidates.Chris and Ernesto

Hello!
My name is Shelby and I am 20 years old. I live in Indiana with my husband and our 14-month-old son. I am a midwifery student at Midwives College of Utah. I want the parents to be as involved in the pregnancy and birth process as they want. I am willing to donate my breast milk for the child at the parent's request. I am also open to keeping in contact with the family at the parent's request. I only desire to be a gestational surrogate who receives one embryo during a transfer. If you'd like to learn more, feel free to check out my profile and see pictures of my family! -Shelby
