Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:
Tori has a physical neuromuscular genetic condition called Spinal Muscular Atrophy, meaning that she uses an electric wheelchair for all of her daily life (it's me, filling this out by the way!) with the help of a team of Personal Assistants. We employ 4 private PA's to assist with all physical care needs, and allow us to live a completely independent lifestyle. Tori runs this care agency, alongside the household, and her freelance work. She can also drive an adapted vehicle and is completely capable and competent in her needs and wishes. David is fully able bodied. Due to the nature of the condition, the gynaecological specialists have confirmed that it would be too risky for Tori to carry a baby herself, as her body could hugely deteriorate and not recover, and with her lungs working at 30% capacity, it could mean that a baby wouldnt be able to go full term causing more risks to mother and baby. We also explored adoption through a private agency, but were denied due to Toris disability. The agency were not able to see past limitations and could not take David as a single parent adoption as we had applied as a married couple.
How would you best describe yourself(s):
We are an active couple looking to start a family. We have been together since we were 21 and have been close since we were 15. Now in our early 30's we are financially stable homeowners, with secure jobs and have explored enough of the world to settle into family life, with the support of our families. Tori is a freelance designer working predominantly with female-lead small businesses in the cosmetic, beauty and hair industry worldwide. David works in IT and cloud solutions, working from home to now since the pandemic. We have travelled around europe to promote accessible travel, volunteered at accessible respite facilities to support families, and given talks at international genetic symposiums - we've laughed, we've dined and we've made friends at every situation!

David is the youngest of 7 children and so we have a big family network, alongside Toris parents. We are active people who would love nothing more than to start our own family, and devote our love and time to watching our family grow.
