Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

Shortly after our son was born we started thinking about how we could expand our family. We had hoped during our IVF adventure that we could have produced more embryos to have the ability to give our son a brother or sister to grow up with. However, we did as many cycles as we could before our doctor agreed that due to my age and recent results, it was in our best interest to stop that journey. We immediately looked into other options including using donor eggs. We started that journey right as the pandemic began. Immediately we were dealt with a shutdown of operations and had to wait several months before we could start that process. Over the past couple years we have spent countless hours looking for donors that fit what we were looking for. We have matched to a donor on 3 different occasions and have transferred 5 donor embryos on 4 different occasions. None had resulted in a viable pregnancy. Based on our results relative to others, the doctor strongly believes we need to work with a surrogate to have a chance at growing our family and giving our son that companion that we so very much want for him. That is where our path has led us today. We are humbly seeking a surrogate to work with who can empathize with our situation and help us make this dream come true. We know this is a significant ask and appreciate your consideration more than we can possibly describe.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

My husband and I are fun and easy going people who enjoy being around family and friends. We also enjoy being involved in our community and love playing with our two rescue dogs. After years, and many failed attempts at IVF, we were blessed to have brought our son into the world. He is the best thing that has happened to us and we spend much of our day playing with him, taking him on adventures, and teaching and reading to him. After around a year we realized what we want more than anything is for him to have a sibling to grow up with and help teach and protect.

We appreciate your consideration to potentially join us on our important journey. What we hope is to one day grow our family to where our son can be the big brother we know he would love to be. He has continuously surprised us with his random acts of kindness and know that he would be tremendous at teaching and looking after a younger sibling. We of course are eager to expand our family and build upon the love we've found with our son. We want to have and maintain a healthy and respectful relationship with the surrogate mother during and after the pregnancy. We are a laid back and fun loving couple and are open to continuing a relationship after the birth if that is something you would like. We know this is truly an admirable and selfless act and really appreciate you reading this letter and considering joining us on this journey to make our dreams come true. We look forward to hopefully making a connection.
