Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:

Together with our dog, George, we recently moved into a bigger house, hoping that we could have children to fill the extra rooms. After MANY rounds of IVF and genetic testing, we are fortunate enough to have 2 great (from a genetics perspective) embryos. Unfortunately, despite the last few years of many treatments, Laurie’s body has been unable to accept our embryos.

How would you best describe yourself(s):

We are Matt and Laurie and we are 37 and 39, respectively. We live in Toronto with the dog who has completely stolen both of our hearts, George. We got married about 2.5 years ago, during the pandemic, surrounded by only our immediate families. Both Laurie and Matt and professionals (Laurie is a lawyer and Matt is a business owner), who love the life that they have been fortunate to create but have a strong desire to have children. While we have been heartbroken not to have been able to get pregnant, we are happy to fill the role of “favourite auntie” and “favourite uncle” with many of our close friends’ children and our many (8!) nieces and nephews. In addition to spending time with our nieces and nephews, some of our favourite things to do are to spend time with our parents and siblings, take our dog for long walks and hikes, stay active and travel. We have spent many years readying ourselves and our lives for children; we and our extended families have so much love to give to our future children.

First and foremost, thank YOU for your consideration of being our surrogate. We are overwhelmed by how big of a heart you must have to want to help people have children, who couldn’t otherwise. There are no words to describe the admiration and gratitude that we feel towards surrogates and their families. We would be so pleased if you would consider helping us complete our family. We would love to partner with you in this amazing journey. We can’t wait to meet you.
