I live in the state of New York (closer to Rochester, NY. I have never actually been to NYC). I understand the law to be that in NYS, a surrogate mother cannot be compensated for carrying. This is fine with me, I wouldn't be doing this for a paycheck. What I am curious about is if the intended parents can assist with copayments for health insurance, or travel expenses during the process.
