Why I want to be a surrogate mother:
I have been thinking about this avenue for about a year now. Furthermore, why I would even like to be a surrogate mother. A few things I do know are that I love being pregnant and being able to do so is so incredibly humbling. But, I am curious to potentially have a journey with other individuals who need a gestational surrogate. I believe with the right individual I would love to do it. I’ve seen individuals struggle with fertility and would love a chance to connect and help, whom ever they be, achieve the dream of a family.
Description of myself:
If I summed up myself in a single word, I would say I’m passionate! I put a lot of care into everything I can get my hands on; nothing is too small of a task for it be meaningful. In addition, I’m a goal-oriented individual that has many aspirations. I want to live life to the fullest, and even if I don’t achieve all my aspirations. As one of my mentors told me once, if you achieve all your goals; you have set the bar too low! I think most individuals would be intimated by that statement, but it is not to be look at with a glass half empty mentality, but rather to push yourself, and you may be surprised at how far you can go. I do my best to live with this mentality and act with true integrity to what I think is morally right. I top goal in life is to impact my community and world positively and leave my humble mark behind. A little bit about myself on a more superficial level is that I have a strong love for creative crafts, whether it be drawing or sewing. I like a good intellectual debate and learning about eastern Asia history. I have taken Japanese and Chinese (mandarin), though not quite fluent. I eat very clean foods and use environmentally friendly cleaners and detergents around my home. Best of all, I love to laugh and be with my family. That is me in a nut shell!
My letter to intended parents:
Dear intended Parents, If we choose to work together, I would like you to know just a few things that are front and center to me. While I grow your baby inside me, I will give this baby nothing but love and nourishment. Having a child myself, I understand how scary the process can be, especially feeling like it is out of your control. But I can say in confidence that your little one is going to be cared for in every aspect I can think of. I would be incredibly humbled and honored to be the individual you pick; that this baby will be your heart outside your body and that I am entrusted with it.
