Why I want to be a surrogate mother:

After having five children myself, I know just how fulfilling it is. When you yearn for a child of your own there really is nothing else that can replace that heart desire, except a child itself. I wear many hats as a Mom but I do believe that my greatest calling is having the ability to bring healthy (and beautiful) children into this world, when so many simply cannot on their own. I believe surrogacy is such an incredible technological advancement in our world today that it should be available to all who need it. The other half of the reason I'm interested in becoming a surrogate is for the financial help it would bring to my family. We would love to own our own home but with five children and one income, it has been hard to save money for a down payment for a purchase. The money we would gain from helping a family would in turn go to helping our family buy a home of our own.

Description of myself:

My name is Melissa. I have been married for almost 10 years now. We have five beautiful, healthy children. Their ages are 9,7,3,2,1. my last baby was born on leap year day *** I am a stay at home Mother and my Husband works in the electrical utility field.We recently relocated from Southern California to Fresno, California.

My letter to intended parents:

Dear potential Intended Parents, Thank you for viewing my profile. I'm sure this time in your life although tough and heartbreaking at times, is also extremely exciting. There really will never be a more exciting time in your whole life, I truly believe and know that. It is my hope that I would be a perfect candidate for a family out there somewhere and also that I would meet them at just the perfect time in their lives. I believe myself to be kind, patient, good-natured and honest at the core. I would also expect the same from my Intended Parents. I hope that all our communications and transactions would be easy and respectful on both ends.However, I do not mix well with strong and controlling personalities since I am so passive. So I just ask that you would respect me and move to the next profile if you believe we would not be a good match. I also have another request that may not be standard. My Intended Parents would need to be willing and financially prepared to pay child care expenses for my one year old daughter and my two year old son for the first three months of pregnancy. This is due to the fact that I do get morning sickness from about week five to about week sixteen.I simply cannot keep up with my youngest two children with morning sickness all day and night, my Husband works full time and also out of town regularly. Please strongly keep this in mind when considering me as a candidate. Also, due to the fact that I have five young children with little outside help and support. I cannot travel for any Dr.appointments, all prenatal care and labor/delivery will have to be done in Fresno or Clovis California. Again, thank you for your consideration.
