Why I want to be a surrogate mother:

I feel that everyone should have the chance to raise a child and have an impact on our future. I want to help those who aren't able to have a child traditionally. I want to be a part of something that makes someone smile.

Description of myself:

I'm a young vibrant recent graduate with a passion for helping others. I love people and being around people. I want to accomplish a lot in life and this is the first step on my journey.

My letter to intended parents:

Hello! My name is Sechemelia Lewis. I am an African American woman and I'm here to help you! I am not a traditional surrogate as I do not fit the weight requirements for surrogacy but I am healthy, educated and ready to help anyone in need. I am a graduate of Hampton University with Magna Cum Laude honors. I have a BA in Public Relations. In my spare time I like to read and volunteer with children and people less fortunate than I. Within the next 5 years I see my self giving back to inner city youth as a teacher for Teach For America or working with inner city charter schools before I embark on my journey of becoming a Certified Nurse Midwife.
