Why I want to be a surrogate mother:

I have completed my family and I don’t currently have any plans to expand my own family. I have an auntie who experienced infertility and is unable to have children.Unfortunately this happened when I was too young to help her.I saw how much devastation it caused her and how much it hurt her to see other family members have babies. Ever since I had my first child I’ve wanted to be a surrogate, I researched the process thoroughly and I am very experienced on the laws and rules around surrogacy. I have a functional womb and functional ovaries but I’m not using them.As I’m not using them, I think it would be amazing to use them to help somebody else to start their own family, somebody who otherwise can’t have children. I hope to be a traditional surrogate for years to come and help as many IP’s as I can start their family.

Description of myself:

*** My name is Sian, I am 26, a mother of 4 and a law graduate.I have 4 beautiful children already aged 7, 6, 3 and 1.I am a teacher teaching A-level and GCSE grade law which I hope will lead to be becoming a university lecturer one day.I come from a very athletic family and I played gymnastics at a national level until I was 15. I have blue/green eyes, dark blonde hair (dyed black) and I’m around 5ft 6.My hair is extremely long and dyed black, If you look at my photos you will see me as a child and my blonde hair.You will also see photos of my children (my girls are mixed race) I have no family history of any illnesses or diseases, I am in good health.Both sets of grandparents are still alive including one great grandparent.I do not drink or smoke and I haven’t experienced any miscarriages. I’m available to travel if needed.I’m open to both surrogacy and egg donation.Unfortunately I’m only considering traditional surrogacy, this is because I’d prefer a natural procedure (via artificial insemination) rather than the intense medical procedures involved in gestational surrogacy of implanting the embryo in to my uterus.I also realise there is a huge shortage of traditional surrogates but a huge demand for them.The number of gestational surrogates outweigh the number of traditional surrogates.Therefore I would prefer to help a family who would find it difficult to find a surrogate (traditional surrogacy IPs) please respect my decision and do not message me attempting to change my mind, that’s very disrespectful.I am open to sibling journeys down the line if needed. I am only wanting to donate eggs up to a total of 2 times and before I start the surrogacy procedures.After I have embarked on my first surrogacy, I will not be donating eggs. I’m open to couples including same sex couples.

My letter to intended parents:

I’m a traditional surrogate who would love to help a heterosexual or same sex couple complete their family.Ideally, artificial insemination would be done at home or via a clinic.I have regular periods, I am not on birth control and I track my periods and I know exactly when I ovulate, I also take pre conception vitamins. Id love to communicate with IP’s and hopefully help somebody start their journey of creating a family or having a baby.I’m happy to go on sibling journeys if this is something the IPs want. I look forward to hearing from you.Please note, at this time I’m only considering traditional surrogacy. My ideal situation would be to help IPs who are financially stable with secure housing and careers with a good family support system and knowledge of the surrogacy process. I hope to create a life long friendship with the IPs, potentially being in the child’s life as an “auntie” or a close family friend.If however you would prefer things to be more private, that is fine, but I would appreciate hearing periodical updates. I would never expect to be paid for surrogacy, however I think it’s important that the IPs are able and willing to pay for reasonable expenses accrued from the pregnancy.
