Explain your reasons for wanting a surrogate/donor:
After an emergency hysterectomy in my 30s, I was heartbroken. I have always wanted to be a Mom. After much reflection, I decided to pursue surrogacy.
How would you best describe yourself(s):
I am a college professor and an artist. I love being outside as often as possible. I mountain bike, hike, trail run and ski, but I also very much enjoy the arts. I have been a dancer for many years. I have lived in Australia, Holland and Latin America and I can't wait to share new cultures with my future children. I come from a big family and I have a wonderful network of friends. Being connected to those I love means a great deal to me. I feel incredibly lucky that surrogacy is an option!

Dear Potential Surrogate, The road that has led me to you is one of past heartbreak, but one that is now filled great hope and deep admiration. I would very much love to create a family through your help. I am deeply committed to fostering a great relationship that includes honesty, respect and care. I am looking for someone who either lives in California or is willing to travel to California as that is where the magic can happen :) (I am working with a fertility clinic in Northern CA). I am also open to working in another state, but it would have to be surrogacy friendly and have PBOs. I would love to not only have a great relationship during our journey, but one that can continue after the birth of my little one. I very much want my child to know the incredibly special woman who helped bring them into the world. I know compensation is not the main thing, but it is important. I can range between 20-25. If someone does not have insurance it would have to be 20 but if they do have insurance that will cover their OB then I can go 25. I am hoping to go the independent route.
