Why I want to be a surrogate mother:

I was given the gift of sperm donation by a friend when I wanted to have my second child. As a queer woman, pregnancy is something you have to actively plan and hope for and I was lucky enough to have my daughter thanks to someone who wanted to help others. I want to be able to continue that gift, to help others dreams come true.

Description of myself:

I'm a 36 year old single mother to two incredible children. We live in Oregon with our Old English Sheepdog and our lives are lovely and loving. We have an amazing community of friends who we consider family, full lives and lots of laughter. I work at a non profit engaged in self empowerment building for girls and gender non conforming/trans youth and hope to start my MA in Museum Studies in a year or so. Travel, learning and history are important parts of our lives as is helping each other. I love my children and I want to help others grow their families.

Dear IP's, I can't imagine the journey you've been on. My name is Tavi and I'd love to connect with you more and learn whether I can help you with your goal of parenthood. I'm a single mother to two children (9 and 15). While I'm not in a place where I want to raise another child, I do want to help a family who is looking to grow. As a queer mother, I had to find a sperm donor for my second child. I feel and have felt compelled since then to become a surrogate for another family. My life is joyous and my family is complete with my two children but I have the capacity to be pregnant and help create that joy for others.
