Why I want to be a surrogate mother:

I want to give someone a chance to start a family or build on to their existing family. I come from a LGBTQ household- I have two moms whom I love. They taught me that not all families are started traditionally. I've actually never been a surrogate or have had kids of my own. I have been pregnant once before but terminated it as I felt I couldn't deal with the adversities that came along with parenthood as a 17 year old. I want to be able to give the gift of life to a family that wants nothing more. I am not in this for the money and would prefer to have very little compensation. I just want to help someone.

Description of myself:

I am a college student at the University of Minnesota. I am studying Psychology & Public Health. I am in my 3rd year and currently contemplating taking time off before I finish to work full time & pay off some loans. I love to travel. I took two years off after high school to work as a nanny abroad. I spent one year in China & one year in Germany. After two years in college, I decided to study abroad. I ended up spending the semester in Kenya studying the health sector & interning at a local hospital in the psychiatric ward. I've also spent a summer working in an orphanage in Lima, Peru. If you are familiar with the Myers-Briggs personality test & believe that it is an accurate determiner of personality then I'll add in that I am INFP. I am introverted for sure but I consider myself to be very socially competent & aware.
